Love the patio and atmosphere, love dogs are allowed on the patio, love my server--I walked here from our new home (1920s so new to us) and was by myself as my wife is finishing up business in Austin, TX. I had walked by a couple of times and the vibe is just buzzing here. I had a hangar steak n fries w a French name I think--hey...Im from TX y'all--and some wine and just enjoyed the ambiance. Great food, though the chimichuri was different from TX...not bad...just a little more bland and more colorful somehow together--perfectly cooked steak. I loved my server and listened in on other tables service...family is big here...employees like it here. That's big! 5 stars.

Now I see why this place always has a crowd! I tried Burton's for a birthday event and was very pleased with my experience. I got the filet with spinach and truffle fries. The filet was cooked perfectly and the truffle fries were packed with flavor. This restaurant has a nice dining room and also outdoor seating if that is your style!

9/10/24 Update Always a great experience at Burton's! Molly provided great service and food was 10/10. I tried the calamari for the first time and loved it, almost as much as the short rib grilled cheese! Dined with my LSs and 2yo nephew; great place for families, couples, and solo diners!

We sat outside on a beautiful spring day with some friends and enjoyed the atmosphere and charm of Carytown. The service was fantastic; very attentive and they made great recommendations to try. When the food arrived, the presentation was very good but it tasted even better than it looked. Since then, we've eaten a few more times and have not been disappointed. Highly recommended!

Great location on Cary street with ample free parking behind restaurant. Great ambience. Excellent service and a big menu full of delicious foods. I got the General Tso chicken bowl. It was delicious!Broccoli, rice, quinoa, mixed vegetables and chicken topped with almonds and sauce.

Food is delicious and service is great! This restaurant is amazing at both brunch and dinner. This is my go-to spot. Very allergy safe, specifically for GF!

We love eating here! Great for large parties and a wide variety is on the menu. Huge pro is the allergy steps the restaurant takes. If you have an allergy the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Great for happy hour, brunch, or a casual evening any day of the week. I'm a fan of the pappardelle bolognese, steak frites, and the bread basket (I'm deadass bc it comes with olive tapenade). My family really enjoyed the firecracker shrimp, and the lobster roll. I'm a big chocolate fan and the seven layer cake just didn't do it for me. It was a little too sweet and not cakey enough. Maybe that's your jam, though. I love the service here. Every time I've been, staff has been patient (I've had either my parents or my children with me and well, I hope ya get it). I love adding gin to virgin drinks, so I highly recommend the Paloma pura with a quality gin from the bar.

Burton's Gluten Free Donuts!! The end!! Kidding but not kidding! Seriously, we picked a great time to come based on other review. We were at Maymont and decided to take the short trip to Carytown to try this restaurant during Easter weekend. We are so glad we did! No wait, no line, with no reservation! It was just serendipitous! Our server Deondre was great! We went straight for 2 mains because we were THAT hungry. The food was amazing. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable! It is definitely my go-to gluten free spot in RVA! And the brunch is a MUST!
